Taryn Brennan is the Nutrition Director at the Institute and is also a Registered Dietitian at Children’s Hospital Colorado where she completed her clinical internship in nutrition in conjunction with The University of Colorado Hospital after receiving her degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She has also earned a degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Western State Colorado University where after graduation she managed the daily activities of Western State’s nationally recognized High-Altitude Performance Lab.
Currently her emphasis at Children’s Hospital Colorado in the Department of Allergy and Immunology involves treating kids and young adults with gastrointestinal disease, food allergies and food intolerances. Taryn’s passion for health and wellness has led her to currently work with athletes of all ages using evidence- based strategies to improve their health and performance and reduce their risk of disease.
Taryn is a Colorado native with a distinguished collegiate basketball resume who has also pursued her love of sport and competition as a player on the Glendale Raptors Women’s Premier Rugby Club. She is active in the CrossFit community while enjoying all of the athletic activities that Colorado has to offer.
