Emily graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology in 2013. While there she held several internships, including working in the Golf Teaching and Research Lab and working with children at a local Easter Seals, a resource center for children with various special needs. After graduating she immediately began her training with Yoga Sport Science™, including eight-months of coursework and a research study. YSS specializes in integrating yoga into an athlete’s training regimen, establishing healthy ranges of motion, stability, balance, and kinesthetic awareness. She has also acquired her CSCS and Precision Nutrition level 1 certifications.
Emily has also become an expert in kettlebell training, learning and coaching hardstyle kettlebell training and becoming Dragon Door certified (HKC). Dragon Door is accredited with bringing Russian-style (hardstyle) kettlebell training to the United States, known for their high standards in technique and intense certification requirements.
She has worked with clients from youth athletes, collegiate and professional athletes, special populations (i.e. pregnant women, high-risk clients, etc), and all of athletes of life. She also worked as a strength and conditioning intern at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pa. Emily believes that whatever you do in life, being stronger, more flexible, and improving your work capacity will make you better at it.
In the last two years, Emily has also begun practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has competed in powerlifting.
